Discover 海角社区 series highlights what 海角社区 has to offer

Five virtual events detail major program areas

Potential students and their parents can learn what 海角社区 has to offer through five virtual Discover 海角社区 sessions to be held January 25 through March 3. During each one-hour Zoom session representatives from 海角社区 Admissions will give a brief overview of the college followed by individual academic departments providing in-depth information on the program area. This will include program requirements, transfer plans and connections to workforce opportunities, and will be followed by a question-and-answer period. The presentations will be held:

                Public Service Institute – Tuesday, Jan. 25, 7 – 8 p.m.

                Business, IT and Culinary – Thursday, Feb. 3, 7 – 8 p.m.

                Engineering and Advanced Technology – Tuesday, Feb. 15, 7 – 8 p.m.

                Arts and Sciences – Thursday, Feb. 24, 7 – 8 p.m.

                Health and Human Services – Thursday, March 3, 7 – 8 p.m.

Follow-up information will be provided to those who participate in the Discover 海角社区 sessions regarding graduating from 海角社区 debt free, the college’s more than 200 transfer plans for those interested in earning a bachelor’s degree, dual enrollment opportunities, campus life opportunities such as student clubs, activities and sports teams, and other available student resources.

Participants are welcome to attend multiple sessions if more than one program area interests them.

Participants in each Discover 海角社区 session are eligible to win a $50 gift card to the 海角社区 bookstore will also be entered into a single drawing for a $500 scholarship to 海角社区.
