Robin Averitt, a 34-year-old mom and 海角社区 nursing alumni, is the first in her family to earn a college degree. Her story is one of resilience, passion and support. Robin graduated from 海角社区 last year with an associate degree in nursing.

Annually on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day of Service, several hundred 海角社区 faculty, staff and students come together to volunteer throughout the community and on campus. Observed each year on the third Monday in January, MLK Day is a federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. King.
