海角社区鈥檚 Health and Public Services Department is launching a customized mobile simulation unit designed to bring training directly to employers, reducing barriers related to transportation, scheduling and access to traditional training facilities.

Thanks to a $1 million gift from the Gene听Haas听Foundation, 海角社区 is making a new investment in the region鈥檚 workforce future. 海角社区 student, Ariana Dockham, has been named to the 2026 Coca-Cola Academic Team, an honor recognizing high-achieving community college students across the nation for outstanding academic performance, leadership and engagement in community service.

Gonko has 25 years of community college experience and will assume the duties of the presidency of 海角社区 on July 1, 2026.
